MICHY BATSHUAYI saved Chelsea’s blushes with two crucial goals as they were made to sweat by League One Bristol Rovers.

Antonio Conte’s men are in the hat for the third round after £33million striker Batshuayi proved his worth with a star-studded display.

But Chelsea’s wobbly defence, which still has not kept a clean sheet this season, cannot be so happy after losing concentrat­ion against their plucky opponents.

Darrell Clarke’s men went into the break at Stamford Bridge 3-1 down but had Chelsea in trouble in the second half as Ellis Harrison’s penalty added to an earlier set-piece goal from Peter Hartley.
