Berahino moves closer to the

TONY PULIS may well close the final chapter of his thesis on the longrunnin­g Saido Berahino epic within the next few days – and it cannot come soon enough.

When later quizzed about a potential exit, he smiled and said: “You’ll see in the next 48 hours.” And last night it emerged that Pulis is closing on a £28million double swoop for Spurs forward Nacer Chadli and Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho.

Albion have agreed a £13m fee for Chadli, 27, and are set to activate a £15m release clause to land Camacho, 26.

The Albion boss is often in his element on deadline day and he said the countdown to Wednesday will be no different. “It’s going to be a really busy couple of days and Berahino will be a topic of conversati­on,” said Pulis, who has stated he could write a thesis on the ‘will he, won’t he leave’ saga.
