Scrap heap challenge that’s worth £600k

IT looks ready for the scrap heap but this classic Aston Martin could be worth £600,000.

The 1959 DB4 Series 1 is one of just 149 made. It is on the market for £180,000 despite having its front wheels, seats and engine unattached.

The car will be sold by auctioneers Bonhams’ in Beaulieu, Hampshire, on Saturday. Car expert John Polson said: “Once renovated it will be worth between £400,000 and £600,000.”
