Travel: New York: America’s Busiest City, 9pm, BBC2

New York gets so much exposure through films, television, advertising and literature that even those who have never visited the city before feel they know it well. Tonight, a team consisting of Ade Adepitan, Anita Rani (left), Ant Anstead and Dan Snow begin a three-episode run that sees them explore New York from a number of different angles. The city’s transport network is the first thing they look at and there are a few must-sees in the Big Apple. They join the daily commute on the Staten Island ferry, check out life at Grand Central Terminal and sample life on the subway, citibikes and suburban railroads. Not forgetting, of course, a ride in a famous yellow cab.
