Zzz...book or passion at bedtime

THE key to a good night’s sleep is sex, according to some men, while women say reading is the answer.

Research by mattress company Drift Sleep shows that 12 per cent of Britain’s men insist that sex is the way to dreamland, as opposed to four per cent of women.

But 13 per cent of women surveyed say they would rather read a good book at bedtime, against nine per cent of men.

Getting enough sleep could be the secret to avoiding Christmas rows.

One in three of 1,000 polled say lack of sleep leaves them grouchy – and a third of us plan to pay visits and sleep in strange beds over Christmas.
