PM must now axe those who are preaching doom

I HAVE a growing respect for Theresa May as she is rejecting all half-out, half-in measures for Brexit, says she intends to regain full border control and break free of the European Court of Justice (“We will get clean break from EU”, January 17).

It is now equally important that she takes long knives to the thousands in the Civil Service, especially in the Home Office, the Foreign Office and in British academia, who preach that we are too weak to survive on our own unless our hands are held and we are led delicately through the scary ways of the world.
