CASEY AFFLECK was showing no remorse for forgetting to thank his older brother Ben, 44, in his Best Actor speech. The 41-year-old told Day & Night that despite double Oscar-winner Ben telling a TV talk show that he was “taken aback” when Casey didn’t mention him at the Golden Globes, he felt no pressure to change his ways at the Baftas. “The first thing you think about [after the speech] is the people you didn’t thank. He didn’t really have anything to do with the movie but he’d like to be thanked. I was planning on thanking him for being my brother but it didn’t have to be on a TV show. He’ll live.” Ouch…

THE EE Rising Star winner Tom Holland told us how spellbound he was by co-star Robert Downey Jr, 51, on the set of Captain America: Civil War. The latest actor to play the iconic Marvel character Spider-Man, the 20-year-old, pictured with his mum Nicola, says working alongside Downey has been a secret to his success. “My first day as Peter Parker [aka Spider-Man] I got knocked down by Giant-Man but Robert came and saved me and it was great because he gave me a licence to improvise and that’s a gold mine. Robert is the king of improvising, I’ve never met anyone as good at it as he is so I’m learning from the best.”

But Tom makes sure he still mixes with his school friends: “My best mate Harrison comes everywhere with me. It’s important to have friends like that to keep me grounded. My parents are like that. I said recently that I do the dishes all the time to humble myself. Admittedly I haven’t done them in a while because I’ve been working a lot but I will get back to it!”
