10 years for ‘Good Samaritan’ Pole who raped girl, 19
A RAPIST has been jailed for 10 years after posing as a Good Samaritan to attack a drunk university student who was asleep in the back of his car.
Lukas Piatek, 33, gave the 19-yearold and her mother a lift home from a nightclub after the girl collapsed in the street from drinking cocktails.
He was seen on CCTV helping the undergraduate to her feet before all three walked off, the Pole with his arm around the teenager.
But having pulled up outside their home in Rochester, Kent, he reversed at speed and without headlights before the mother had a chance to help her daughter from the car.
Married Piatek, who has convictions in Poland for extortion and solicitation, drove to a restaurant car park and raped her on the back seat.
Anguish
The mother told Maidstone Crown Court she thought Piatek was “taunting her” when he drove off in his Rover after the night out in Strood, Kent, in February 2015.
She immediately called police and officers found the car, along with her daughter and Piatek, two hours later.
Prosecutor Paul Valder said the girl had very little memory of what had happened other than waking up to find herself on the back seat squashed against a rear window with a man pressed up against her.
She was unable to tell police who she was with or what she had done in the car and admitted being “out of it”.
But Piatek, who had never met the victim before, branded her a “sexaholic” and told police they would find her shoeprints on the interior of his car roof as they had sex.
Piatek, whose wife and children live in Poland, denied kidnap and rape but was convicted by the jury after 50 minutes of deliberation.
He appeared for sentencing via television link with Elmley prison on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent.
Jailing him, Judge Adele Williams said he had “opportunistically” taken advantage of his drunk, vulnerable victim and caused her family anguish.
She said: “It is plain in my judgment that you targeted her.
“She was asleep and completely insensible in the back of the car.
“You have caused her immense harm and psychological trauma which I have no doubt will live with her for a considerable period of time.”
