Widow’s joy at finding ring she lost six years ago...in a mop bucket
A GRIEVING widow who lost her wedding ring just weeks after her husband died has found it six years later – in a mop bucket.
Christine Edmondson, 71, said it was like “winning the lottery” when she got the gold band back after it went missing at work in 2011.The grief from the death from liver cancer of “the love of her life” husband Frank caused her to lose weight and the ring slipped off her hand.
To her delight it turned up last month in a bucket at the Harris Museum in Preston where Christine works as a curator. “I was overwhelmed. I hugged my colleague and we both cried,” she said.
The Preston grandmother-of-six added: “It’s back where it belongs.”
