Police hunt Kim murder suspects
FOUR suspects in the murder of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s half-brother left Malaysia the day he died at Kuala Lumpur airport.
Malaysian police said four men, Ri Ji Hyun, Hong Song Hac, O Joong Gil, and Ri Jae Nam, left shortly after Kim Jong-nam was killed.
Mr Kim, eldest son of the late North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, had spoken against his family’s control of the nuclear-armed nation.
A North Korean man, a Vietnamese woman and an Indonesian woman have already been arrested in connection with the death.
It is believed that the attack was carried out on the orders of Kim Jong-un. North Korean diplomats in Kuala Lumpur have tried to stop an autopsy on the 46-year-old’s body and want it handed over.
Co-operation
Deputy Inspector General Noor Rashid Ibrahim of Malaysian police said his country was co-ordinating with Interpol to track down the four North Koreans, but would not reveal their destination on the day of the murder.
He said: “The four suspects are holding normal passports, not diplomatic passports.
“We have international co-operation especially with Interpol.”
It is believed two women attacked Mr Kim at 9am last Monday at a departure hall at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
