Professional singers hit a bum note with rugby fans
I HEARTILY agree with former England rugby captain Will Carling (“Carling: Give anthem the red card”, February 18).
The choirs singing the Welsh and French anthems at games earlier this month were great.
Having a single soprano singing the national anthem makes it sound like an operatic aria and discourages others from singing.
There must be hundreds of choirs around Twickenham, so get them on board and give the supporters the chance to sing.
