PM suits the casual look
THE more dressed down Theresa May is the better she looks. Coming out of church in jeans and jumper she looked natural, healthy and wholesome.
Sitting with a group of schoolchildren in a large scarf, plain jacket and with her hair less coiffed than usual, the PM looked like any parent or teacher, an image striven for by many of her predecessors in vain. In short, she looked like one of us.
Such an image is a happy contrast to the short skirts, silly flaps, sleeveless gowns, plunging necklines and garish shoes which Mrs May favours in dealing with affairs of state.
I am not suggesting the PM wears jeans to meet the likes of Juncker and Tusk but I do think she needs to appreciate how good she looks in toned-down country clothes and that she should incorporate that rather than catwalk fashion into her business wardrobe.
