Labour no longer represents the working classes
THE Labour Party is divided, not just by the rich and poor or the haves and have nots but now between the “London Set” and those from the North (“Tories stretch lead to 18 points over Labour”, February 21).
The former group appears to come from a mainly metropolitan background, of which the majority could be identified as the “London Set”.
The latter was at one time mainly aligned to the Labour Party but since leader Jeremy Corbyn and the party has retreated to its London base, pandering to its Liberal elite backers, then it no longer has a political representation in this country.
This now being the situation it must be obvious to anyone with half a brain that Ukip would offer them the best home.
Consequently the Labour Party can no longer claim to represent the working class and it can be only a matter of time before its new base is so low as to deem it irrelevant.
