Bags of memories carried around for the future
I SMILED when I saw the picture of Sue O’Dowd with her 36-year-old shopping bag (“When it comes to a carrier for life, this gran has it in the bag”, February 21).
I keep my knitting wool in an old Kwik Save bag but in my sewing box neatly folded up I have a couple of unused carrier bags which remind me of our old and well loved local supermarket, which sadly closed down some years ago and is now a Morrisons.
Two plastic carrier bags may be insignificant to some but they hold precious memories for me.
