Women ‘killed tyrant Kim’s brother with chemical weapon hidden in pen’

Accused – Vietnamese model Doan Thi Huong, and right, Indonesian Siti Aisyah THE half-brother of North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-un was killed by one of the world’s deadliest chemical weapons, police revealed yesterday.

Kim Jong-nam, 45, was attacked by two women last week at Kuala Lumpur airport in Malaysia.

Vietnamese model Doan Thi Huong, and Indonesian Siti Aisyah are said to have wiped the toxin VX over his face as he was about to fly to Macau, where he lived.

The nerve agent, thought to have been stored in a pen, was on swabs from the victim’s eyes and face. The attackers are said to have washed their hands after the killing. One was vomiting Assassin’s pen similar to the one in which the deadly nerve agent was hidden when officials arrested them. VX is classed as a weapon of mass destructio­n, does not smell and kills in minutes. One hundredth of a gram causes convulsion­s.

Malaysian security officers will test places linked to the suspects for radiation, although VX is not radioactiv­e.

North Korea, a rogue state which has been developing its own nuclear weapons, accused Malaysia of killing one of its citizens. Malaysia said the women were paid to carry out the attack and rehearsed it. However, the US and South Korea say North Korean agents assassinat­ed Kim Jong-nam, a critic of his half-brother’s regime.

He was the eldest son of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il but on his death the leadership passed to the more ruthless Kim Jong-un.

The women and a North Korean man are in custody. Seven other North Koreans are on a wanted list.
