Antonio married to job at Chelsea

ANTONIO CONTE says the only problem he has at Chelsea is that his wife and daughter miss him.

The manager’s future has been the subject of speculation this week, with Inter Milan reportedly offering a £51million contract to tempt him back to Italy. But Conte says he wants to stay at Chelsea and build a dynasty.

However, he is also wary of the Claudio Ranieri factor. His fellow Italian was sacked last week by Leicester nine months after leading the club to the title.

“I want to stay here beyond my contract, for sure. The only problem this season was the family missing me,” said Conte, whose side visit West Ham on Monday. “My family have stayed in Italy. I’m working to try and to bring them here.”

Wife Elisabetta and daughter Vittoria have visited London on several occasions but Conte, in talks over a new deal, wants them to move permanently in the summer.

“I hope I can manage here for years,” he said. “When you start a project with a new team you want to stay many years and build something important. My situation is very clear. You have to be ready for anything, especially with things fresh from what happened with Ranieri. But I hope to stay and win a lot with this club.”

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is still angry with Chelsea striker Diego Costa, who he believes should have been shown a second yellow card for a foul on goalkeeper Adrian before scoring the last-minute winner in the 2-1 win against the Hammers on the opening day.

Bilic said: “He should have been sent off. You have to tell your players he is capable of provoking.

“If he is flat, then it’s not Costa. He is proper in skill and running the channels but also in being motivated.

“I don’t think he does that to get players sent off, he does it for his state of mind.”

A WARRANT has been issued for West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass by a Glasgow court after he failed to turn up to his trial on a charge of driving a car while a baby was being held by a passenger.
