It’s stars all round

-

BRITISH music royalty descended on the Roundhouse in Camden to celebrate the venue’s 10th anniversary fundraising gala – and Day & Night was among all the starstudded action.

The Who’s Roger Daltrey, 73, helped kick off the exclusive event by thrilling the audience with a storming blues set. The rocker then joined The Kinks musician pal Sir Ray Davies, 72, fresh from his knighthood ceremony, for a chinwag over the tasty lamb supper.

Later on, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, 69, watched on proudly as wife Sally, 39, who is an ambassador for the Roundhouse, gave a speech about the fundraiser, which aims to transform the lives of young people through creativity.

Father-of-six Ronnie, who welcomed twins Gracie Jane and Alice Rose with Sally last May, and also performed at the bash, told us: “I love this event because it helps creative young people but it’s also a night out with the missus.

“We’re quite hands-on with the children and so wiped-out at the end of the day – but tonight we let our hair down.”

Other famous faces at the bash included actress Barbara Windsor, 79, TV presenters Melanie Sykes, 46, and Gaby Roslin, 52, and tennis ace Boris Becker, 49, who hopped on stage to offer a private tennis lesson. All eyes were on Jeremy

Clarkson, 56, who made his first public appearance with new girlfriend Lisa Hogan, 46. The former Top Gear presenter – who divorced wife of 21 years Frances in 2014 – was virtually inseparable from the mum-of-three, who is the ex-wife of eccentric aristocrat Steven Bentinck. During the auction on the night, Jeremy also offered a one-off Grand Tour track day, which raised over £50,000.

The event raised more than £500,000 for the Roundhouse’s charitable work.
