Heavy-handed response

-

ADAD from Nottinghamshire has hit out at a police officer who confiscated some daffodils that his two young daughters picked for their mum on Mother’s Day. Picking flowers from council-maintained verges is against the law but David Taylor cut to the heart of the issue when he said: “I feel like it could have been dealt with a bit better with some common sense.”

At the very most a quiet word warning him that he should not make a habit of letting his daughters pick flowers there would have been more than enough.

Even better, the officer could spend her time stopping real criminals instead of upsetting little girls who just wanted to do something nice for Mother’s Day.
