PUTS CHILDREN IN THE PICTURE
JAMIE LEE CURTIS is penning a new book for youngsters about the obsession with taking photos of yourself. The 58-year-old actress, who is now an accomplished children’s author with 12 successful titles, is set to release Me, MySelfie &I: A Cautionary Tale. “My new book is my response to the ‘selfie’ craze. I hope that Me, MySelfie & I will open a dialogue about the impact of smartphone technology on families.” The A Fish Called Wanda star, whose previous books also contain life lessons for children, insists that this will be a light-hearted read: “It will be a fun and whimsical take on our obsession with self-documentation.” Recently actor Jeremy Irons also bemoaned social media, telling Day & Night: “In the old days you’d get cast on the casting couch. Now, if you have more followers, you get the role, not because you have more talent.”
