Crash kills paraglider
A BRITISH expat has died in a paragliding crash in New Zealand.
Ben Letham, 26, from Argyll, was on a solo flight near Queenstown in the South Island.
Witnesses said he went head over heels and fell, landing on his back in a primary school’s grounds in the tragedy on Saturday.
Mr Letham had been flying for six years and was a full- time pilot with GForce Paragliding.
Its co- director Gavin Taylor said: “Our team is devastated by his death.
“We have lost a close colleague and friend who will be very sadly missed.”
