JOURDAN DUNN admits she would in the past seek out negative comments posted about her online.
The 26- year- old top British model, who fronts campaigns for high- end fashion brands such as Burberry, says: “I used to be obsessed with searching for negative stuff about myself on Twitter.
“It was hard for me to be a model because I had such insecurities. I had a lot of body issues.”
Jourdan, who was discovered by a scout while shopping in high- street shop Primark, adds: “I get attacks about getting ready for a runway show. The pictures go everywhere and people find any little reason to pick at you. It’s a lot to deal with.”
However, the m other- of- two says that being one of only a handful of top black models pushes her to persevere.
“I had all these girls telling me, ‘ Jourdan, I’m so proud of you, you’re my inspiration.’ I wanted them to see me, a black girl, doing all of these shows so that they would think maybe they could do it too.”
