Interior Minister Gerard Collomb said police and organisers of sporting and cultural events had been given orders about extra vigilance.

Ariana Grande, whose fans were the target of the Manchester attack, has a string of further internatio­nal dates in her diary, including in France next month.

Hong Kong’s AsiaWorldE­xpo, where Ms Grande is due to perform in September, said it would add metal detectors and search dogs to baggage inspection at all major events.
