THESE diners were shocked when a horse decided to stroll into a racetrack canteen.

The mare, Rosmaria, had broken loose from her handler and trotted through a maze of corridors after finishing fourth in a fillies’ handicap.

Jockey Amie Waugh, 27, who rides for her trainer father Simon Waugh, filmed the unexpected appearance on Monday at Redcar racecourse in North Yorkshire. She said: “We were just so shocked when we saw this horse behind the counter.

“She was really calm and the groom came in after her and she just walked out. It’s amazing how she found her way to the canteen.”

Let’s hope she wasn’t so hungry she could eat a horse!
