A schoolboy’s dream? Not for me, says sex in the woods victim

- By John Twomey

A VICTIM of BBC perverts Julie and Tony Wadsworth has told how he was lured into the woods for sex but said: “It wasn’t every schoolboy’s dream.”

Darren Cunningham was only 14 when he was molested by Mrs Wadsworth as her depraved husband took photos from behind the bushes.

Wearing only a “flasher’s mac”, stockings, suspenders and high heels, she had gone to a park with Wadsworth to entice underage boys to touch her intimately.

The couple, of Broughton Astley, Leicestershire, were jailed for five years on Friday.

Mrs Wadsworth, who was 35 at the time, went to the boy’s home and promised to have full sex with him if he would return to the park.

“She seemed desperate for sex and asked me to go to the woods there and then,” he said. “My head was spinning but I told them I was too scared and to leave.”

Mr Cunningham, now 39 and a father of three, was playing in the park with friends when he first encountered the couple in 1992. The Wadsworths asked if was somewhere they “have a play”.

He added: “My mate went behind the bush with her first but was back within minutes saying he was scared because the husband was taking photos.

“Then I heard her shout it was my turn. I was nervous but she called me over next and she was sitting down naked with the mac open.”

Mrs Wadsworth told the youngster to touch her intimately before she performed a sex act on him. He added: “People must think it’s every there could schoolboy’s dream wasn’t right.

“I was a nervous wreck for ages, thinking the couple had photos and would show them to my parents or teachers.”

At the trial, jurors saw a photo of him aged 14. “Anyone can see I’m a kid,” he said.

Mrs Wadsworth, 60, and her husband, 69, were found guilty of indecently assaulting six boys in the 1990s.

The pair, who broadcast on BBC Radio Leicester, were also found guilty at Warwick Crown Court of outraging public decency. but it
