HART ACHE GOES ON

No offers of new club for under-fire keeper

- By Tony Banks

JOE HART has revealed he has no offers on the table as he searches for a new home away from Manchester City. The England goalkeeper’s torrid year took another turn for the worse on Saturday as he came in for fierce criticism for letting in two Leigh Griffiths free-kicks as England drew 2-2 with Scotland at Hampden Park. Hart defended his display in Glasgow but said: “I’ve got nothing. People are focused on international duty. Come Tuesday night, after we have played France, that is when conversations can be had. “I need an offer first and then I need to work out my options. I want to be

playing at the highest possible level. It’s in the hands of the businessmen now. I’m just a player, I turn up and play.

“We all need stability in our life. I’m not a kid any more, I can’t just pack my stuff like a 19 or 17-year-old and go on loan. I am a 30-year-old man with stuff I need to organise.” Guardiola and City do not want to sell to any title rivals. The club wants a fee of around £18million, but his £100,000-a-week wages have proved a major stumbling block.

Hart added: “I’ve got to respect this career. This England shirt’s not mine. I have to be playing at the top level to get in the squad.”

❑ FRANCE midfielder Blaise Matuidi has called for God Save The Queen to be sung by France fans at Tuesday’s friendly to show solidarity against terrorism, just as England supporters sang La Marseillaise when the French played at Wembley four days after the Paris atrocities in November 2015. “The country deserves it,” he said.
