I don’t really buy souvenirs but I love Indian jewellery, so whenever I go to Dubai I head to the Gold Souk.

It’s a bit of a journey to get there but it’s worth it to see all the lovely jewellery and find things you wouldn’t necessarily find over here.

The souks are a real experience, although I’m terrible at bartering. When I do get time off, I just want to switch off.

I love travelling and going to different countries and seeing the culture, but when it’s just a quick break from shooting, I love to go where it’s really hot. I enjoy sitting by the pool and relaxing. I’m at my happiest in the sun. The desert in the Middle East is one of my favourite places in the world. It’s a very powerful place.

A few years ago I was doing a job in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan. It’s one of the most beautiful places you could ever visit – it’s so vast.

We were filming there for a week and we woke up every morning in the desert after sleeping under the stars. It was amazing. I’m going to Dubai for a week with my mum and a friend. We go every year and it’s something that we look forward to. I need a break and it will be nice to get some sun and relax. We sunbathe and go to the shops and I’ve also got some friends who live out there.
