THERE may be almost 90 years between them – but there was no mistaking the striking similarity between the Queen and her greatgranddaughter Charlotte as they peeped round the curtains at the world.
The monarch was pictured drawing the net drapes aside at Buckingham Palace and looking at the crowd ahead of a lunch in honour of her birthday last year.
Curiosity also later got the better of little Charlotte on Saturday who held the curtain back to get a clear view from Buckingham Palace’s balcony. Both wore the same pensive expression as they surveyed the crowds, with little Charlotte looking adorable in a traditional smocked dress.
Her Majesty and Charlotte even appeared to share a similar sense in fashion with both sporting pink summer frocks featuring a delicate floral print.
The toddler is fourth in line to the throne.
