May was at scene for facts not photo opportunities

THERESA May made a private visit to the site of the dreadful fire at Grenfell Tower (“May pledges full public inquiry into fire disaster”, June 16).

She went around getting facts from the emergency services personnel at the scene. She felt that was more important than getting a photo opportunity with the surviving residents which would invite a media frenzy.

The furore levelled at Theresa is just like Ariana Grande’s actions post-Manchester bombing when she was criticised for going home. Then look what she did.
