Playing catch-up with TV shows spares us from ads
I READ with interest Tony Levy’s letter about daytime TV advertisements targeting the old. Don’t you just loath those over-50s adverts (Letters, June 16)?
I get around this by watching all my favourite programmes a day in arrears by using the catch-up facility which does away with the bulk of the adverts.
In this way, a 60-minute show is condensed down to around 46 minutes. Stephanie Ponting, Corsham, Wilts
