eight minutes to go 12-0 up. The first came after four minutes when Ben Roberts’ offload was intercepted by Carlos Tuimavave and he scampered 80 metres to score
A second try soon arrived when winger Fetuli Talanoa collected Jake Connor’s superb cut-out pass and bulldozed past Greg Minikin to dive over in the left corner.
Cas hit back in the 27th minute when Roberts atoned for his earlier error by collecting a loose ball and scurrying under the posts.
Three minutes later, the Tigers struck again when Luke Gale’s superb grubber kick outfoxed the Hull defence, allowing Zak Hardaker to touch down.
Gale’s second conversion levelled things up but a penalty from Connor gave the hosts a narrow 14-12 advantage at the break. Seven minutes after the restart, Roberts collected a short pass from Michael Shenton
