It’s not all rosy for U20s
ENGLAND were thrashed 64-17 by New Zealand in the Under-20 World Championship final in Tbilisi, Georgia, conceding 10 tries as the Baby Blacks went on the rampage.
Dalton Papali’i and Pouri Rakete-Stones scored early tries for the tournament favourites before Ben Earl’s converted effort reduced the arrears. But England were blown away as Asafo Aumua, twice, Isaia WalkerLeawere and Luke Jacobson touched down to make it 40-7 at half-time.
Josh McKay, Tom Christie and Jacobson added further tries after the break and although Alex Mitchell and Josh Bayliss replied, Aumua set the seal on a dominant New Zealand display by completing his hat-trick.
