HAVE YOU HAD ENOUGH OF THE GOOD WEATHER?

Yes SORRY to sound like a stick in the mud but I can’t be bothered when we have a sustained period of hot weather (“Flaming June to break records”, June 21). It brings out the worst in people. For a start there’s the sound of ear-splitting music coming from senseless and inconsiderate motorists, who think nothing of bombarding everyone else with their “taste” in music.

Being too hot makes work harder and people more irritable.

Just waiting for some utility company to announce a ban on hosepipes to complete the misery. Greg Jones, Manchester

No WHAT a delight this sustained spell of decent weather is. Everyone’s walking around with a smile on their face as we soak up some glorious sunshine.

Gardening’s a pleasure with long summer nights to sort out bedding plants and borders after finishing work.

What could be worse than a wet, dull, soul-destroying summer. We spend half of the winter in the UK talking about snow, frost, strong winds and torrential downpours so let’s enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. Mother nature’s in her element so let’s revel in it. Michael Butler,
