Difficult to grasp the true emotions of suicidal person
DURING my time as a Samaritan I never, as Ann Widdecombe wrote, asked a caller considering suicide “How do you think your wife/kids/ mother will feel? (“Noel’s woes are a lesson to all of us”, June 21).
The call is about them and not about adding guilt.
In my experience, it would be revealed one factor contributing towards the suicide was perceived as being for the sake of the family, certainly not because this aspect was not considered.
