Roque ready to roll with Swans
SWANSEA’S £11 million move for midfielder Roque Mesa is edging closer according to reports in Spain.
Paul Clement’s club are set to beat Premier League heavyweights Tottenham and Liverpool to his signature.
Fresh reports in Mesa’s native Gran Canaria have claimed only the details of the structure of the deal and sell-on clause need to be ironed out if he is to move from Las Palmas.
Mesa is waiting for the go-ahead, having been kept informed of developments by club president Miguel Angel Ramirez. Sevilla and Roma were in the race to sign the 28-year-old but he now looks to be heading to South Wales.
Striker Bafetimbi Gomis is on his way out of Swansea, however, having completed his move to Galatasaray.
And Borja Baston is set to a return to Spain with Malaga after scoring just a single goal last term. Jefferson Montero and Modou Barrow could also be sold while the futures of Jordi Amat and Ki Sung-Yueng are uncertain. SUNDERLAND striker Fabio Borini will have a medical at AC Milan today as he looks to complete a move back to Serie A.
The 26-year-old, right, who has also been courted by Lazio, flew to his native Italy yesterday in a bid to tie up the deal.
Reports in the Italian media have suggested he will complete a £5.3 million permanent transfer.
