Church minister accused of sexually abusing seven women in his congregation ‘claimed it was God’s work’
Mr McGonigal said Wilson told police he was amazed how many women had evil spirits.
His first two alleged exorcism victims in the 1980s were teenage sisters.
Wilson told the eldest girl her late father’s spirit had asked him to look after her.
The prosecutor said: “He said he had to touch her wherever the evil spirit was and God would tell him where to touch.”
He took her into the vestry and touched her breasts and unbuttoned her blouse. When she pushed him off he told her it was evil spirits fighting him.
Her sister recalled being in a “trance-like” state as she was touched – a sensation felt by many of the victims, the prosecutor added, suggesting some tea may have been drugged.
The court heard he carried out “internal ministries” on the youngest girl every week for 10 years shouting: “Come out in the name of Jesus.”
Another victim – the daughter of a friend – had hoped to become a missionary but Wilson told her parents she “riddled with demons”.
The jury was told how Mary Wilson stripped the girl naked and pinned her down.
Once, he lay on top of the girl squeezing her breasts claiming: “Your body needs to be aroused so the demon comes out.”
Another woman claims was he persuaded her to perform a sex act on him before demanding she “spit out the demons”.
She alleges he raped her, telling her he was “pumping the demons out”.
Police received a in July 2014.
Wilson denies 25 counts of sexual assault, two rapes and complaint four offences of conspiracy commit indecent assault.
