Liam’s seeking more Direction

-

HIS debut solo single has been met with mixed reviews and now LIAM PAYNE is hankering for a One Direction reunion.

Having only recently embarked on a solo career after he, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles decided to take an indefinite hiatus at the end of 2015, Liam, pictured, wants to tour again with the record-breaking group – who were the first British act to go straight in at No1 in the US chart with debut album Up All Night. “I think we will reunite at some point in the future. We have to!” insists the singer, who failed to reach No1 in the UK or US with single Strip That Down. “We’ve got an album we haven’t even toured yet. And I want to write some more songs as well with the boys.” Let’s just hope the 23-year-old is better at writing songs than naming babies, having had ridiculously titled four-monthold son Bear with 32-year-old girlfriend Cheryl – whatever surname she’s using these days. But joking aside he clearly misses the camaraderie of being in the group who formed on The X Factor in 2010. One Direction of course also included Zayn Malik before his departure in early 2015. “My favourite part about touring with the boys was when we were younger we used to spend a lot of time together on the tour bus. “My favourite memory was when we first did New York’s Madison Square Garden and our album just broke the record for debuting at No1 on the charts…”
