Joint ache relief in a handy spray

- By George Nichols

One of turmeric’s active compounds, curcumin, is believed to reduce painful joints and swelling

WE CAN all feel under the weather from time to time and often reach for the painkillers to manage those niggly aches and pains. But what if there was a more natural way to manage those symptoms?

Known as one of the world’s superfoods, turmeric is a bright orange spice many of us still only know as the vibrant colouring in our Saturday night curries. However it is much used for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

“Turmeric has many proven health benefits,” says leading nutritionist Kim Pearson. “One of the key benefits is its ability to reduce inflammation. Low-level inflammation can speed up ageing processes and contribute to disease progression, so keeping our inflammatory responses in check can help to keep us healthy.

“Many studies also show that turmeric could be helpful for digestion and liver health, for our skin and for helping to prevent post exercise aches.”

More than 6,000 studies have proven the health-giving benefits of this powerful Indian spice. One of turmeric’s active compounds, curcumin, is believed to reduce joint pain and swelling, arthritis symptoms and is said to aid weight loss and depression.

Turmeric has long been available in powder and tablet form but is notoriously difficult for the body to absorb through the stomach. Now, though, there’s a groundbreaking new way to take turmeric, BetterYou Turmeric Oral Spray, which clinical tests at Cardiff University have shown to be four-and-a-half times more effective than tablets.

It is the world’s first turmeric supplement in oral spray form and its unique delivery method bypasses the digestive system and delivers the turmeric straight to the bloodstream via the inner cheek.

“The beneficial compounds in turmeric, known as curcuminoids, are poorly absorbed by the body,” says Kim. “So in order to get the maximum benefits it is best taken as an oral spray.”

While the spice might be orange in its basic form, the spray, using natural ingredients, is actually flavoured with orange of the fruit variety, making it a tasty experience in itself.

Turmeric Oral Spray has been an instant success, named Best New Health and Nutrition Product at the Natural and Organic Product Awards Europe 2017 by industry experts.

For the first time, the healing and health-promoting properties of turmeric have been fully harnessed in a handy daily spray which can be used on the go, offering ultimate convenience.

The simple daily spray is not only something to help you recover from your daily health problems, it is an important method of prevention too. INFORMATION: BetterYou Turmeric Oral Spray is available from betteryou.com, £17.95.
