52 inches! Model’s legs stretch to world record
BEAUTIFUL Ekaterina Lisina towers over rivals in the new Guinness records, achieving recognition twice.
She is the woman with the longest legs in the world – at 52 inches.
And her amazing height, 205.16 centimetres (almost 6ft 9ins), makes her the tallest model.
Ekaterina, 29, from the city of Penza in Russia, also puts her height to use as a basketball player.
She said: “It feels amazing to become a Guinness World Records title holder for not just one but two record categories.
“My only regret is I didn’t apply for them sooner.”
She stood out at school as she towered above everyone else.
But at home size has never been an issue as all her family are well over 6ft.
Others among this year’s entries include Jim Arrington, who at 85 is the world’s oldest professional bodybuilder.
Jim, nicknamed “skinny bones” as a youngster, has been bodybuilding for the last 70 years. Dedication to his training has seen the great-grandfather, of Los Angeles, compete in 62 competitions, of which he has won 16. The domestic cat with the longest tail – 17.58 inches – is Cygnus, a Silver Maine Coon cat who lives with his owners in Ferndale, Michigan, USA. He shares the home with his recordbreaking brother Arcturus Aldebaran, who is the tallest domestic cat, at 19.05 inches. The human record for the longest eyelash – 4.88 inches long – is held by You Jianxia, Changzhou, of Jiangsu, China. She puts the growth down to being “at one” with nature – as she first noticed the eyelash enlarging on an 18-month nature retreat in 2013. Guinness World Records editor-inchief Craig Glenday said: “This edition is celebrating the planet’s real life superheroes. “You’ll find an awe-inspiring roster of amazing, recordbreaking feats.”
