RICK SURPRISED TO FIND HE’S BIG IN JAPAN

SOME fans are seemingly never gonna give up when it comes to finding ways to pay homage to their idols, as Rick Astley found out on a recent trip to Japan.

“I have some friends in Denmark who own a beer company and they made a beer for me. We went to a bar with them in Japan a couple of weeks ago,” says the 51-year-old singer of his evening in the Far East.

The night was going fairly normally until Rick felt the call of nature... when he discovered he was as well known in that part of the world as he is here. “One of the bars they own has a Rick Astley toilet. All the music played in that toilet is me.”

He adds that it was all a bit much to take in: “I’d had a few beers as well that night. My head was a bit of a mess.”
