Desperate Blair clutches at straws over Brexit result
FORMER Prime Minister Tony Blair must think that the British people are incredibly stupid (“‘Get over Brexit’ Blair is told as he reveals plan to keep UK in the EU”, September 11).
Having opened the borders to migrants when he was in Downing Street, he is now stating the EU will relax freedom of movement rules and that as “immigration was the main concern over Brexit” we can control our borders and remain.
But he just doesn’t get why we voted to leave. Immigration was just one part of the equation, there were many more reasons to vote for Brexit.
And hasn’t he been paying attention to the EU elite who still maintain that the freedom of movement issue is non-negotiable?
Listening to him speak, all you can hear is a man who never believed in democracy and someone who is only out for himself. Anthony Cartwright, Chelmsford, Essex
