Twelve days of Christmas goes on for four months

EVEN before August was out, many shops had started displaying Christmas goods.

Isn’t it about time it was made illegal for retailers and advertisers to make any reference to the festive season before November 1? The 12 days of Christmas have become the 120 days of Christmas. Ridiculous.
