❑ UNPRECEDENTED times in Scotland as two new coaches have brought an unbeaten start for both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Kiwi Dave Rennie had a hard act to follow in Gregor Townsend but was always going to be a hit at Glasgow given his record in Waikato with the Chiefs.
More interesting is Edinburgh’s rise in form since the arrival of Richard Cockerill, whose toughnut Leicester ways seem to have transplanted well to the Scottish capital.
He does not have the quality of player he had, but Cockerill is proving a coach who can get the best out of what he has.
The Pro14 season is at an embryonic stage but the two Scottish sides could be a force.
