Olivia on the mend
CURRENTLY battling breast cancer for the second time Olivia Newton-John has assured fans that she is very much on the mend.
And while she admits the after-effects will probably be with her forever, she believes she’s now turned a significant corner.
“The pain level was really the hardest thing. I was trying to do shows and it was pretty agonising,” she told Australian current affairs show 60 Minutes. “I can walk but I can’t go long distances. But I’ll get there because I couldn’t walk at all a month or so ago. As I heal I’ll be able to walk more.’’
The 68-year-old is undergoing photon radiation therapy at her own Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in addition to “natural wellness” therapies including of course medicinal marijuana, whose cause she’s been championing lately.
“It’s probably something I’ll deal with for the rest of my life,” she added. However her mindset, she says, has always been that she’ll overcome the disease. “I will and I’ll be fine and there have been a lot of women who have had reoccurrences and continue on with their lives to be
