Bell Pottinger in administration
PUBLIC relations firm Bell Pottinger has collapsed into administration after failing to find a buyer.
The company, which employs about 250 people across offices in London, Asia and the Middle East, put itself up for sale last week.
It lost clients after running a racially charged campaign in South Africa, which led to it being expelled from the Public Relations and Communications Association.
Administrators BDO said they had made a number of redundancies, adding: “We are now working to seek an orderly transfer of Bell Pottinger’s clients to other firms in order to protect and realise value for creditors.”
