Take your part­ners...Strictly re­veals the first dances to test new re­cruits

STRICTLY fans have fi­nally found out which dances their favourite stars will at­tempt in the first live show of the series.

The BBC One hit re­turns next Saturday and, while tra­di­tion­ally the de­but live shows were split be­tween two episodes on Friday and Saturday, this year the two have been com­bined into one Saturday night spec­tac­u­lar.

Deb­bie McGee, 58, will at­tempt a paso doble with Gio­vanni Per­nice, echo­ing his her­itage by danc­ing to Fergie’s Be Ital­ian.

Sun­day Brunch chef Si­mon Rim­mer, 54, and his part­ner Karen Clifton will do the same dance to Blur’s Song 2.

Series favourite, Satur­days singer Mol­lie King, 30, and AJ Pritchard, will per­form a jive to Good Golly Miss Molly by Lit­tle Richard. Holby City star Joe McFad­den, 41, and Katya Jones will do the same dance to the Jack­son 5’s Rockin’ Robin.

Four cou­ples will take on the cha cha. Rev Richard Coles, 55, and Dianne Buswell will have Eury­th­mics’ There Must Be An An­gel (Play­ing With My Heart). Chizzy Aku­dolu, 43, and Pasha Ko­valev will per­form to Boo­gie Fever by The Sylvers, Em­merdale’s Gemma Atkin­son, 32, and Al­jaz Sko­r­janec will use Shawn Men­des’s There’s Noth­ing Holdin’ Me Back and EastEn­ders star Davood Ghadami, 35, and Nadiya By­chkova will dance to Lloyd’s Ded­i­ca­tion To My Ex.

In the waltz, Alexandra Burke, 29, and Gorka Mar­quez will dance to Aretha Franklin’s (You Make Me Feel) Like A Nat­u­ral Woman; Jon­nie Pea­cock, 24, and Oti Mabuse chose When I Need You by Luther Van­dross, while Ruth Langs­ford, 57, and An­ton Du Beke will have This Nearly Was Mine by Seth Mac­Far­lane.

As­ton Mer­ry­gold, 29, and Janette Man­rara will fox­trot to Harry Con­nick Jr’s It Had To Be You; Char­lotte Hawkins, 42, and Bren­dan Cole chose The Best Is Yet To Come by Michael Bu­ble.

There will only be one tango, with Brian Con­ley, 56, and Amy Dow­den danc­ing to Heaven 17’s hit Temp­ta­tion.
