TV Sian breaks arm... tripping in her wellies
FORMER TV weather presenter Sian Lloyd was in hospital with a broken arm yesterday after tripping in her wellies.
The 59-year-old, who now works for American TV and writes a newspaper column, said the accident came as she “raced” a colleague while filming.
Welsh-born Sian, who presented the weather on ITV for 24 years, tweeted a photo of herself in hospital.
Responding to well-wishers, she admitted she had been racing a colleague while wearing wellies and had a fall.
Sian was taken to Tewkesbury Community Hospital in Gloucestershire before being transferred to nearby Cheltenham General.
She added: “I can’t thank staff enough for their superb care. I’m overwhelmed by how lovely everyone’s been. Even got a piece of home-baked cake from a paramedic. Long live the NHS.”
