Understanding neighbours key to helping musicians
AS a pianist myself, I read with interest the story about musician James Carrabino (“Young pianist told he can play on after bitter ‘noise’ battle”, September 21).
As a teenager, I remember my parents receiving a few complaints about “noise”, which were erroneous as the neighbours in question were very noisy.
I can fully understand if it was talentless players playing Chopsticks, which can really annoy, but when it is proper playing complaining is not fair at all.
Thankfully, where I live now, I can play without fear of complaints. Loredana Walsh,
