Barnier must be replaced before he ruins trade links

EVEN before we had officially voted for Brexit the EU had declared economic war on the United Kingdom.

That was to be expected, after all it stood to lose one of its biggest paymasters and contributions which had also been helping to keep the leaking EU ship afloat.

Now we have “General” Michel Barnier, an anti-UK bureaucrat, attempting to scupper negotiations with his particular EU brand of arrogance in an attempt to retain British money.

Should we not now be suggesting to those nations who fill our supermarket shelves and car showrooms with EU products that they replace Mr Barnier before he shoots himself, and the EU companies who sell us those products, in the foot? Philip Evans,
