Dawn’s right to tackle the shameful ladette culture
DAWN French was right on the button, ladettes behave far more disgracefully than their male counterparts ever have (“The Vicar of Dibley is right on ladettes”, September 21).
One only has to venture into the centre of Bournemouth to witness the truth of her observation.
Whereas groups of young men on a stag night will often be loud and boisterous, they are for the most part non-threatening and will apologise if they feel that they have overstepped the mark.
Extremely drunken young women on a hen night are foulmouthed and aggressive and lewd, particularly towards anyone showing disapproval of their crude, sexually suggestive antics.
