Animals: Teach My Pet To Do That, 8pm, ITV

Animal lover, comedian and presenter Alexander Armstrong opens the doors of his multi-species pet training school once more, to welcome miniature American shepherd dog Boomer and Stinky the pony, in the hope they can learn to retrieve and return a ringing mobile phone to their owner’s hand. Sounds simple enough. The star of the show is Charlie the boxer, who sprung to fame bouncing on a trampoline in a TV advertisement. The programme’s trainers also hit the road to help train Elvis the goat (left, with farmer Jo) to be the star of a doggy agility show.
